Our Opinion: 

I don't Know whether I have seen a worse horror movie in my life or not. The special effects are so obviously terrible. Even the first installment of Raaz had better special effects. The possessed looked like she had severe sonjunctivitis in her eyes and the make-up was sad and poorly done. There is nothing to save this movie except the humor that you will bound to process if you see this movie.

Typical Karan Johar film SOTY doesn't impress me at all. Thought Karan would come up with brand new engaging story since his cast is being introduced & can't gather crowd. If you're a fan of K Jo's films, definitely you'll enjoy it. Otherwise, as TOI's Madhureeta said "You may not like this movie if bubble-gum romances, picture-perfect worlds and candy-floss clouds are not your idea of a movie-going experience"

A light hearted Makkhi deserves a watch over other releases this week

Watch it only if you're one of the huge fans of Kareena, otherwise its a sheer waste of time.

Barfi! is what I thought Bollywood can never produce. A simple feel-good, lucid, hearty, sensational movie that just makes you cheery after the long tiring week. Don't watch it for what you normally expect from bollywood, dialogues-masala-bla..bla..bla..Watch it for Ranbir. Watch it to get back in time. Watch it if you like to swirl in Barfi's World like how you do while reading Ruskin Bond's novels.

Raaz 3 is advancement in 3D if Hollywood movies are kept aside. Some effects do really impress. But the plot, horror, script, screenplay doesn't live upto the expectations. A normal Emraan with locked lips. Bipasha is terrific. Recommended only if you don't have anything else to do this weekend.

Due to the fall on 2nd Friday Collection, trade analysts doubt about ETT surpassing 3 Idiots on Collection basis. However fans are still pouring into the cinema halls & no big releases this Friday, its expected to climb back on Saturday & Sunday. Sunday figures will be the most exciting for everyone related to ETT and have their fingers crossed.

Ojha's Opinion: Personally, I seriously didn't liked Farah Khan's acting or whatever she did while the camera spotted her. Boman was as usual did his job well, & SFKTNP comes alive in times due to him. A few gags & cracks makes us remember some happy moments while walking out of the hal.

Best ever collection by any movie was noted on Monday by Ek Tha Tiger. Well, of course due to Eid & whole of the Muslim crowd's rush who stay away from Entertainment during Ramzan Days . However we take it as a new record for the Best Monday Collection.

Film has already broke several records & its still on fire. Just to recap for those who leaped in right now.

• Also the highest collection of Wednesday compared to any day of any movie.

Ek Tha Tiger did exactly what it was supposed to do. Whether it was in the multiplexes or the single-screen cinemas, the madness for the film was unprecedented. The best way to describe the craze for the Salman starrer was ‘Salmania’. It surpassed that was seen during the previous Salman releases like Dabangg and Bodyguard.

If there is a huge jump in collections on Eid and on the following day, as is expected, it should not be surprising if the film touches the Rs. 150-crore mark by the end of the first week (of nine days).
 
The question being asked in trade circles and in the public now is whether Tiger will touch the Rs. 200-crore mark. It is too premature to predict that but whether it does or not, one thing is crystal clear – and that is, Ek Tha Tiger is the biggest grosser of Salman Khan’s career to-date.

But if thought other way, investment in the film was around 90 cr. So if it makes around 180-190 cr, its not a bad deal. A clear 100% gain.

Ek tha Tiger has now broke all the existing records in bollywood with 60cr plus in first three days.

Records set by legendary movies like 3 Idiots, Dabaang, Agneepath & more lag by several crores at Box Office India. Even overseas records have been successfully chased by Salman's Ek Tha Tiger.

It has been an issue about the Saturday Collection made by ETT & still its not the confirmed news that how much did the movei actually make on 4th day. Figures shown below on saturday (4th day) are rounded/estimated.

After a surprise wave across the country & trade analysts on the first day of release by 1st day collection by Ek Tha Tiger, the film has received a fall of around 45% in collections due to a reported working day.

Though expectable fall was not reported which was thought to be around 30-35%

The reason for this is thought to be some negative/average words by most trusted critics. Well only one or two of them were avg. otherwise all the reviews from all Indian critics were positive.

Thought ETT has done a great job on first day, a huge fall back on thursday says there may more on Friday(another working day). However then followed by Weekend & Ramzan Eid on Monday will surely have a shot on collections in the first week.

Already ETT has broken almost all the records of opening day. Let's see whats the scene after 1st weekend.

Ek Tha Tiger hype is all over India & with such a timing of National Holiday--then Weekend---then Eid.. Its all set to be one of the biggest films of Bollywood as far as Collections are concerned.

Reviews for ETT has already done the job, however Salman's movies are not watched by fans followed by critics. They just go for it dumping critics response aside.

Before the release it was thought that 25 crores may be target on the first day but at the end of the day it went above 30 crores which is ground breaking performance by any Salman's film so far.

Flying news refer that figures will stay around 29-30 crores at the end of the first day.

However, according to one of the famous trade analysts it has already crossed 30 crores & may stop around 34-35 crores.

These figures are just impractical & need perfection by thorough analysis.

But one thing is sure, Ek Tha Tiger is going to rewrite the history in Bollywood Collection as done by 3 Idiots & Agneepath 2012.

Kashyap, its only him & the cast that made Gangs of Wasseypur(1 & 2) eligible to be added as one of legends of Bollywood. Part 2 is even better with a quick paced & no boring intros. Plot all set & young gang is ready to set it on fire. GOW 2 is not to be missed. Reviews doesn't matter when films like this gets a release, just go for it.

Ojha's Opinion: Kids? Keep away..! Enjoy non-veg jokes.? If Yes, Its a treat for you. However its a brainless comedy, so many of us may not stand that for 2 hours 20 mins. A poor attempt of Indian Pie.

Most thrilling & disturbing of all three. A sequel that achieves new height. May seem short of length but surely justifies it. Film RISES for sure along with the SUPERHERO. Go for your one of the best monsoon weekend starter. :)

1st weekend Collection by Cocktail:

Film opened like a boom on the first day. One of the leading trade analyst report says it was houseful on 8:30 am in Kota..!! Cocktail was successful as far as the targeted audience is considered. It has aroused a huge craze among youths in urban areas.

Critc reviews for Cocktail proved to be of no use when the Box Office business of 1st weekend collection by Cocktail is taken into consideration.

Cocktail is presumed to grow more on weekdays & reach a total collection of 50 cr nett by the end 1st week. Following are the stats of how film did on 1st prime three days of the week.

Ojha's Opinion: Okay.. Pritam's music may lure to reach the stairs of theatres but it doesn't end there. Film has some engaging moments but followed by disappointments in the second half. Starts with a spark, shakes in the middle, ends with fuzz...!!

After some efficient promotion activities on Small Screens Bol Bachchan actually worked. And yeah.. mind the word of Rohit Shetty on each question in public "Uske liye to aapko film dekhni padegi"

After such new experiments with the promo work, Bol Bachchan had a amazing weekend at the Box Office, no matter what are the words of all Indian critics.

Some resources say that that film reached 43 cr nett after weekend, but the distributors & some inside sources claim it to be as low as 38 cr - 39 cr

Ojha's Opinion:

It says "Don't just watch it". Well, I agree, Have some chat with your neighbour to avoid some hard-trying-funny moments. There are some ridiculous scenes but few dialogue's Eng-cum-Hindi by Ajay Devg will entertain you. If you're fan of typical Rohit Shetty movies. Go for it. All in all, its 50-50

There are going to be three releases this week in bollywood. None of them are much awaited movies. Maximum, 3 Bachelors and one old school name Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai. Have you seen the promotional videos of DMKKH, very very underwhelming, full-to over reactions and a complete disappointment.

Talking about Maximum, the film highly relies on the Item Song 'Aa Ante'. Well, agreed that Hazel Keech has some qualities of gathering the crowd but high expectations may cause some box office damage to the movie.

3 Bachelors (ok so sharman now became bachelor from idiot) ;-) The movie promises to be full of confusion kind of comedy + some stuffed romance. On the promotion side, the movie didn't even make a low sound in common man's ears. I had to struggle a lot to gather info about the movie. :) Let's see what it has to offer this friday.

1st Weekend Collection by Gangs of Wasseypur:

After a slow start on Friday and some disappointing reviews of Teri Meri Kahaani, Gangs of Wasseypur enjoyed a splendid Sunday with about 60% jump.

Movie, as expected had done nice business in UP and related targeted audience. At the end of 1st Weekend Film has crossed 11 cr nett and if the consistent performance continues film is going to be a success for Anurag Kashyap by both the means Popularity and Business.

Gangs of Wasseypur Movie Review

Ojha's Opinion:

Excessive bloodshed, high class performance by cast, especially Manoj Bajpai, perfect background score, not for light-hearted but a must watch for the love of Indian Cinema and be a witness of its revolution.

After getting some fine reviews from critics and good overall support Ferrari Ki Sawaari had a nice collection at its first weekend.
Film showed around 75% of rise in collection on Sunday i.e. around 5.8 cr nett.

My Word:  Indeed Sharman Joshi did fine job, engaging from the beginning, slow in the end, it'd be a decent family watch for this weekend.

Chakradhaar Movie Review

My Word: Tough plot, weak direction leads the script away from the story idea and flaters in the end. Plus point for action (though copied) otherwise a sure miss for this weekend. Can go for Shanghai / Ferrari Ki Sawaari / Rowdy Rathore but not this.
