Shirin Farhad Movie Review
Ojha's Opinion: Personally, I seriously didn't liked Farah Khan's acting or whatever she did while the camera spotted her. Boman was as usual did his job well, & SFKTNP comes alive in times due to him. A few gags & cracks makes us remember some happy moments while walking out of the hal.

Romantic without ever being sickeningly sweet, and witty without wallowing in crude toilet humor, Shirin Farhad works on account of its inherent sincerity, and because Bela tells a simple story with simplicity. It’s a charming film made with heart. Give it a chance, you won’t be disappointed......Read Full Review

SHIRIN FARHAD KI TOH NIKAL PADI doesn't come across as a film on heartbreaks, heartaches or rona-dhona. This one's a feel-good entertainer. You wear a smile on your face as you exit the auditorium. SHIRIN FARHAD KI TOH NIKAL PADI is a simple, unfussy and heartfelt movie that hits the right notes. The film supports the fact that no one is too old to fall in love. Truly, this wonderful love story has no expiry date. Recommended! .......Read Full Review

Boman Irani's performance is utterly believable. Farah Khan's debut is a sheer surprise. Bela, in her debut, delivers a breezy romance, with nothing complicated; everything too-good-to-be-true. The Bollywood touches are entertaining, but the songs (and some scenes) slacken the pace. This is no epic love tale, but it's worth a watch for those who like their cinema as buttered as their bun maska.........Read Full Review

SFKTNP may not be the greatest love story ever told and may not have a novel plot even. But it leaves you with a snuggly feeling and yearning to experience what you've seen on the screen. Boman Irani is a delight and applies himself to his craft as assiduously as ever. Farah Khan's acting debut may be a bit delayed but she extends a vulnerable playfulness to her character........Read Full Review

Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, it certainly makes for a welcome break from farcical exaggerations. What sets this delightful love story apart is that it's woven around two 40-plus Parsis, who neither face the hurdle of age nor community. Each one of them lends these honest and innocent qualities into the characters they're portraying to make Bhansali's debut behind the camera a feel-good and pleasurable experience. Do yourself a favour, indulge them........Read Full Review

Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi is a sweet but slight love story that debutant director Bela Bhansali Sehgal stretches so much that by the end, we no longer care whether Shirin and Farhad live happily ever after or not.  I’m going with two and a half stars + the extra half star is for Boman Irani.  He gives Farhad dignity.  You feel for him, even when he is selling fluorescent green underwear......Read Full Review

Bela Bhansali Sehgal, sister of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, delivers an assured debut with ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’.We’ve seen Boman’s Parsi acts several times before. The real surprise is Farah Khan, who overcomes a few moments of flatness to inhabit her character well. Meanwhile, we’ll stay with this love story. Not scintillating, but sweet.......Read Full Review

Its sweet & simple romantic stroy. The simplicity is the key point in the film. First half is breezy while the second half drags a bit. Story doesn't have much to offer but has one beautiful dialog "There's no expiry date for Love". I recommend this one for both youths & aged.....watch the video review

Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi is a bright and suave take on two people who are in danger of seeing the little joys of life pass them by for good. They discover each other, thanks to a random quirk of fate that places the hero’s doting mom at odds with the feisty woman he falls for. Though a bit on the sluggish side, Shirin Farhad Ki To Nikal Padi is warm-hearted and generally watchable without being exhilarating......Read Full Review

Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi has several laugh-out-loud moments. Boman Irani makes the character come alive with little gestures and
a faultless performance. Farah Khan is best when she’s not acting, her persona suiting the role. Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi demands little of you and delivers enough for you to not grudge spending time and money on it......Read Full Review

The film marks the acting debut of Farah Khan, who takes on the role of Shirin effortlessly but SFKTNP clearly belongs to Boman Irani though. More importantly, it is heartening to see a simple, nice romantic-comedy without any slapstick which is so common is today’s time. The movie makes you smile and laugh with each of its characters and their crazy, confusing ways......Read Full Review

What’s Good: The performances; some comic scenes.
What’s Bad: The slow pace; the scarcity of funny moments.

The film's plot is sweet and simple, but doesn't offer something great, hence wouldn't leave you saying 'WOW. Love is true and pure in this film, but fails to impress us. It's rather a sickening middle-age romance story that delivers nothing except a severe headache......Read Full Review

Boman and Farah unabashedly whisper sweet nothings into each other’s ears and make it look real at the same time.Farah impresses with her acting, but she does ham up a bit which generally gets forgiven in Hindi films. It’s a delightful watch, but as we said before, you got to be careful about the mush-attack in bits and parts........Read Full Review

Boman fits himself to the role with sincerity. But whenever the camera moves on to Farah, you feel that the lady is not doing enough or giving enough to the character. To be fair, there are a few cute and funny moments but all that is thrown out of the window......Read Full Review

The movie is presumably an attempt to capture the quirks and ethos of this warm and unique community. Few actors have seemed as terribly tongue-tied and uncomfortable in a rare leading role, being cast opposite one of India's finest screen actors. The chemistry between them will make a textbook on the subject seem more interesting. What a colossal waste.......Read Full Review
