Ek Tha Tiger did exactly what it was supposed to do. Whether it was in the multiplexes or the single-screen cinemas, the madness for the film
was unprecedented. The best way to describe the craze for the Salman
starrer was ‘Salmania’. It surpassed that was seen during the
previous Salman releases like Dabangg and Bodyguard.
Wednesday : 32.92 cr.
Thursday: 14.55 cr.
Friday: 12.9 cr.
Saturday: 16.75 cr.
Sunday: 23.06 cr.
Total Domestic Collection by now: 100.16 cr.
If there is a huge jump in collections on Eid and on the following day, as is expected, it should not be surprising if the film touches the Rs. 150-crore mark by the end of the first week (of nine days).
The question being asked in trade circles and in the public now is whether Tiger will touch the Rs. 200-crore mark. It is too premature to predict that but whether it does or not, one thing is crystal clear – and that is, Ek Tha Tiger is the biggest grosser of Salman Khan’s career to-date.
But if thought other way, investment in the film was around 90 cr. So if it makes around 180-190 cr, its not a bad deal. A clear 100% gain.

ReplyDeleteThere's is no clear picture of the earnings of any film at Box Office..The process of calculating follows few steps:
1) Ticket Sales at each hall is calculated.
2) The sum goes to a particular authority/trade analysts.
3) Sales report of the whole territory is then generated by those authorities.
4) Similar process is carried at all the territories in India.
5) Arithmatic sum of the those figures turns out to be a complex figure, which is then rounded.
6) Up-Downs may be reported due to such a long process,which is then adjusted depending on the analyst
I follow a few trusted trade analysts & present a summary of it, only b'coz people are mad about knowing how much business a movie does. Otherwise I'm just a reviewer.
There's was no mention of distributor/producer/whomsoever it may refer to..

Clear picture means amount which is declared by boxofficeindia.com(it may not be actual, but it is most trusted).
I have mentioned distributor/producer because investment directly refers to them only.
