Batman 3: The Dark Knight Rises Review

Most thrilling & disturbing of all three. A sequel that achieves new height. May seem short of length but surely justifies it. Film RISES for sure along with the SUPERHERO. Go for your one of the best monsoon weekend starter. :)

The Dark Knight Rises is a magnificent film. I cried, clapped with delight, got goose bumps and yes, there were even snatches of boredom. Some scenes in this film are truly harrowing.  But ultimately, you leave the theater on a cinematic high.  The Dark Knight Rises is spectacular cinema.  Go get a ticket now.

It flirts with potentially fantastic ideas, but shies away from taking them to the next level. Christopher Nolan gives us a sloppy double-decked hamburger of a film, with too much meat to fit one burger right, but a treat without question for those already in love with the Batman. The plot is predictable – good vs. evil – with the underlying theme of ‘with great power comes great responsibility’ Marc Webb manages to give a humane touch to the superhero and goes heavy on the romance part. India’s representation in the film through Irrfan Khan remains sketchy and unsatisfactory. The special effects are neatly done. Watch it for a new, transformed Spider-Man.
