Well direction for perfect cast leads to the replenished Spider Man and this time spiced with some romance scenes. Not to mention action sequences makes Spidey an Amazing Spidey.

If Sam Raimi’s 2002 Spider-Man is still fresh in your memory, there’s a good chance the new reboot might feel boringly familiar. To be fair, despite covering pretty much the same ground as that earlier film, The Amazing Spider-Man still works. Despite its faults – the standard-issue storyline, the 138-minute running time, a thankless role for Irrfan Khan, and the gratuitous 3D – this reboot of the Spider-Man saga rests almost entirely on the romance between its leads. The Amazing Spider-Man is pretty amazing. The movie retreads old ground. But there's enough spectacle, action and layers here to make it a fun ride. Not to mention, a scary nine-foot-tall reptilian villain played with panache by Rhys Ifans. And our very own Irrfan Khan, who drums up menace without any make-up or CGI. Heady romance gives a vitally thumping bassline to The Amazing Spider-Man. Strangely for a superhero blockbuster, however, the sentiments overwhelm the setpieces. For one, the cast is smashing. The plot is predictable – good vs. evil – with the underlying theme of ‘with great power comes great responsibility’ Marc Webb manages to give a humane touch to the superhero and goes heavy on the romance part. India’s representation in the film through Irrfan Khan remains sketchy and unsatisfactory. The special effects are neatly done. Watch it for a new, transformed Spider-Man. Where there's a super-hero, there ought to be an arch-enemy. This scientist morphs into a green Lizard, the villain. It’s not quite clear exactly why he wants to destroy the world. This character is quite unconvincing. Which is sad for the main anti-hero. But would you care? No. Would you watch and love this film anyway? Yes, you would. I did. This is a joy-ride. And I feel much happier now than before the film started. That’s all you ought to care about.

A well-chosen cast and sure-handed direction allows The Amazing Spider-Man to thrill despite revisiting many of the same plot points from 2002's Spider-Man.

In its broad strokes, "The Amazing Spider-Man" is a remake of Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" (2002) But this is a more thoughtful film, and its action scenes are easier to follow in space and time. If we didn't really need to be told Spidey's origin story again, at least it's done with more detail and provides better reasons for why Peter Parker throws himself into his superhero role.
