For a large portion of Agent Vinod, you don’t know where things are going…and then it all stretches on so needlessly that you stop caring. Given that this is a film that sees itself as a desi-style Bond, it has glaring loopholes that are embarrassing. What cripples the film even further is its uneven pacing....Read Full Review

AGENT VINOD is a hi-octane espionage thriller with a heart. It is not just brawny and dynamic, but witty and crazy too. Ultra slick and stylish, this desi Bond movie adheres to the formula and succeeds in meeting the humungous expectations. AGENT VINOD has all the potential to develop into a triumphant franchise!.….Read Full Review

He tries to be a Bond-cum-Bourne kind of a secret agent. The spy thriller isn't essentially designed as a suspense flick.
Saif Ali Khan pulls off the suave and sophisticated secret agent with panache. Kareena Kapoor boasts of a decent role and sufficient screen-time. Ravi Kishan is impressive in a cameo. The film is entertaining but not in entirety. Agent Vinodgets the nod though not whole-heartedly!.…..Read Full Review

What’s Good: The action sequences; the stylized cinematography; the snappy editing.
What’s Bad: The ordinary story; the unnecessarily confusing script; the lack of an emotional connection between the audience and the protagonist; the absence of chemistry between Saif and Kareena’s characters; the laughable climax.
Verdict: Agent Vinod is a bold experiment gone wrong; certainly not something that entertains in its entirety.…..Read Full Review

For most part Agent Vinod manages to be cool. But sorry. It doesn't work. And it's because Raghavan, the master of cool, doesn't keep it cool enough. If only Sriram Raghavan had not gone weak in the knees at the thought of love, Agent Vinodwould have been a sharper, smarter, cooler film.…..Read Full Review

Agent Vinod may be the best looking actioner we've seen, and Sriram Raghavan may be a unanimous choice to hold the joystick, but watching him play this particular game shows him distracted by the window dressing -- and not trying hard enough to save the princess. Its more of a video game material than a film…..Read Full Review

Much-awaited dhamaka that this thriller hoped to detonate at the box office might just be diffused once you read this review. foreign locales, weapons to annihilate the world, designer suits and not-so-excruciating interrogations don’tjustify ‘Agent Vinod’ as a thrilling movie-watching experience.....Read Full Review

Brilliant performances, dialogues, cinematography and innovative screenplay are the strengths. A slightly confusing direction, misleading music at some points with no relevance to the theme are the weak points.
On the whole, Agent Vinod is not a flawless venture, but if you are hungry for experimental cinema, this one's to die for.…Read Full Review

Agent Vinod could have been the coolest spy thriller to come out of India since it does not have too much competition in that department. But it misses the mark by a good margin. Director Sriram Raghavan loses the plot by trying too hard and packing in as much as he possibly could in one big budget flick…..Read Full Review

Saif Ali Khan’s AGENT VINOD is more Nick Carter in its approach than James Bond. Sriram Raghavan who showed glimpses of his brilliance in JOHNNY GADDAR has clearly managed to merge the two secret service agents. The cocktail is dynamite! All in all it is a Saif Ali Khan film. A male hero finally surfaces to give Vidya Balan, the current real hero, a run for her money.…….Read Full Review

Sriram Raghavan’s Agent Vinod is brilliant in bits, and incredibly asinine in others. It’s probably the most inconsistently good film I’ve watched lately, and a massive letdown. Which is a pity. It could have made for a rare, looked-forward-to franchise..…Read Full Review
