Perhaps it’s appropriate that Priyadarshan no longer refers to himself as director of his films, choosing instead to go with the credit “Filmed by Priyadarshan”.
Tezz has many of the ingredients for an engaging, fast-paced thriller. What it needed was a director to assemble its parts and make them work. Alas, Priyadarshan is content with merely filming.
I’m going with one-and-a-half out of five for Tezz…awfully boring for a film that promises speed and thrills......Read Full Reivew

Riveting action movies are a rarity in Bollywood. Action movies that stand out come along once every few years. TEZZ, helmed by Priyadarshan, is one of them. The story of TEZZ is uncomplicated.TEZZ is a good looking thriller filmed with expertise.
On the whole, TEZZ is a taut, entertaining action spectacle. Those with an appetite for well-made thrillers should lap it up!..…. Read Full Review

The word Tezz has different connotations. It means speedy and it also implies sharp. While Priyadarshan's action thriller undoubtedly is life in the fast lane, one can't essentially say it's a sharp story. But it isn't blunt either! At the end, Tezz is fast enough for you to keep track of its inconsistencies and manages to reach its target......Read Full Review

What’s Good: Ajay Devgan and Anil Kapoor’s performances; a few action sequences.
What’s Bad: The ineffective drama in the first half; the lack of emotional connect between the characters in the film; the below-average visual effects.
Verdict: Tezz is an average entertainer at best..…..Read Full Review

Tezz has taught me the following things. Only Indians wear dark glasses in London. Anil Kapoor will always speak English in a Slumdog Millionaire accent. And Indians can always be found because they abuse other people's mothers.

That is pretty much the only takeaway from a film that is surprisingly slow for a film called Tezz.…..Read Full Review

In truth, the film is full of Hollywood-style car chases amidst a long-running game of cat and mouse between Anil Kapoor and Ajay Devgn. Tezz is fast and lives up to its title. It doesn't make too many demands on your time. And that's not such a bad thing at all...…..Read Full Review

Fascinating first half, power-packed performances, classy cinematography and VFX, hard-hitting dialogues, direction are strong points. Weak storyline, music, editing are the drawbacks.
Overall, Tezz deserves a one-time watch as it doesn’t disappoint.....…Read Full Review

Taut, precise and swift, Tezz works mainly because of its brilliant camera work, commendable background score, sharp editing and fine performances by its actors, but the film’s ineffective central idea falls short in producing a gripping tale.
All in all, Tezz is a good watch if you have a penchant for glossy action thrillers where the drama inevitably scores over the storyline. The sheer pace of the film overshadows its obvious loopholes effortlessly..…..Read Full Review

Performance wise, it's an Ajay and Anil show and both come up trumps. The energy levels shown by Anil Kapoor at 50-plus is amazing. Hats off to Munna! Rest of the goras do a good job in the background.

There's a bit of the Keanu Reeves starrer SPEED and the Bruce Willis starrer DIE HARD in TEZZ. The three star rating is purely for the gripping, Hollywood-like action.....……. Read Full Review

It’s officially an action thriller, no denying that. You know something’s wrong when you laugh when you’re not supposed to. Without doubt, some of the chase sequences are gripping and well-executed but the sense of déjà vu always lingers. Only this time Bollywood faces are in the middle of the action. May be Priyadarshan should stick to mindless comedies, so we can be sure we’re in safe territory. You won’t be missing much if you skipped Tezz....…Read Full Review

  1. a stupid movie. amature direction & acting mars whatever production values to sustain any interest in the mayhem in London. Anil Kapoor's efforts are wasted, why does Ajay take his own time to trace his family? in the middle and very often in the movie the train with the bomb is forgotten for some senseless chases to show the london sceneries ! very tacky amtuerish special effects especially for the train track changing scenes and Anil's jump from window at time of bomb blast. Priyadrashan should retire from filmmaking.
