Comic book fans who've kept their eyes peeled to the Internet for every scrap of news since the film was first announced, will be delighted to know that The Avengers more than lives up to their tall expectations. In the end, The Avengers isn't just an ultimate spectacle, but also incredibly smart and surprisingly humorous. I'm going with four out of five for The Avengers. It raises the stakes for comic-book movies hereon…......Read Full Reivew

With a script that never forgets its heroes' humanity and no shortage of superpowered set pieces, The Avengers lives up to its hype -- and raises the bar for Marvel at the movies.…..Read Full Review

"The Avengers" is done well by Joss Whedon, with style and energy. It provides its fans with exactly what they desire. Whether it is exactly what they deserve is arguable.......Read Full Review

The Avengers is not just your typical good versus evil kind of super hero flick. Here, before all scores are settled, it's the good-versus-good hungama that keeps you glued to your seat. After all, they are all super in their own rights, have never worked as a team to ward off evil... and never taken instructions from other super guys. Naturally then, fireworks and action cuts are bound to follow.
So here's what you've got to do: Just settle down with your 3D glasses for some bang-bang stuff where special effects speak louder than guns and the super guys have nothing to fall back on, other than their muscles, reflexes and of course, their super powers..........Read Full Review

For me, no superhero crew without Kick-Ass's Hit-Girl could ever be truly awesome, but this one is registering strongly on the awesome-o-meter nonetheless.
It's an enjoyably absurd and absurdly enjoyable extravaganza, both delirious and surrealist.…..Read Full Review

The Avengers -- from ambition to scale to the way it justly balances each remarkable character -- is an absolute blast, and it's far easier to lose yourself than to find fault. It's the most spectacular superhero party of all time. And you're invited. Go smash. It's an absolute blast....…..Read Full Review

A better film by miles than those that set the stage for it, Avengers — with its sharp writing — is the extravaganza Transformers wishes it was. Unprecedented in its crossover nature, there isn’t really much to moan about (we don’t know much about Hawkeye and Black Widow? Well, they are shadowy agents anyway)......Read Full Review

What’s Good: The action scenes; seeing so many superheroes together on screen; the one-upmanship between them.
What’s Bad: The build-up in the first half; the cryptic undercurrent between Black Widow and Hawkeye; people uninitiated with these heroes will probably not enjoy it as much.
Verdict: The Avengers is an action packed superhero extravaganza and will do good business...…..Read Full Review

When the superheroes meet, obviously sparks fly. So what, if they have come together to save the world; it is also a battle of egos and who the best is. Watch it if you are Marvel comics fan and even if you aren’t, the special effects, the larger than life characters, the visual extravaganza will leave you wanting for more!.....Read Full Review

When you have a $220 million budget for your movie, there are less chances that anything will go wrong, technologically. But then there are chances of it all being an epic failure. ‘The Avengers’, fortunately, fulfills all the promises with quite an elan and fanfare. We don’t think we noticed any down to really write about it, but then the movie does tend to drag a bit in the middle, thanks to unnecessary face-offs. Regarding the ups, the feature film is a big thumbs-up as a whole. Made on a mammoth budget, it mesmerises one and all with the scale with which it’s given shape. Go watch ‘The Avengers’ if you haven’t already. Believe us, you’re missing out on a once-in-a-lifetime viewing.

The Avengers takes all your wildest expectations and smashes them like the Hulk - it’s everything you want in a superhero film, and more. The Avengers took almost 50 years to appear on screen together, and the wait has indeed been worthwhile. It’s one of the most entertaining films ever made - it’s total delight to just sit back and enjoy the fireworks. ……..Read Full Review
